01 / Why this place matters

Exile

Zeltweg 13 is one of the most important surviving composer’s residences associated with the Ring. Between 1853 and 1857 Wagner wrote large parts of the music for Das Rheingold and Die Walküre here, as well as the beginning of Siegfried.
